Just passed by, saw they had a dimsum promo and decided to get some take out!! Not disappointed at all. Super happy with my dimsum only spent $11 on great quality super comforting dimsum! So happy! Will be back to dine in and try their main dishes!! Seems like a promising place that serves authentic, comforting, and good quality Chinese food!
Visited Tao Tao Ju (formerly Tao's Kitchen) in June. It's a rather unassuming spot from the outside but the interior isn't bad). Ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls ($9.95) and was a bit surprised that it was basically a shrimp wrapped in wonton wrapper. It was a bit basic but the rest of the food we ordered got better and better as we continued. The Zhong Dumplings ($16.95) were quite smooth on the outside. I was kind of surprised that the chili oil was not very spicy. The Soup Dumplings ($12.95) or xlb were pretty good. Nice amount of soup in each. The Sweet Mantou Mini Buns ($9.95) had both steamed and deep fried buns with condensed milk. The Pork and Shrimp Dumplings ($9.95) or siu mai were on the small side and seemed to be mainly shrimp. The best dish was the Hometown Vermicelli ($28.95).
I absolutely loved the food there. They had a variety of different types of food depending on what chinese cuisine you like. I had the Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin and oh my I can say it melts in your mouth, the flavor is amazing. As well as the Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple, I loved it so much finished the plate very fast. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a chinese cuisine. They have lots and lots of great options.
We have a family dinner for Autumn Moon Festival tonight, our favourites were definitely the Roast BBQ Goose, crispy skin and juicy inside. All of the other dishes were delicious: black pepper Wagyu and photos, our kids are enjoy the sweet and sour pork in whole Pineapple etc. Overall, the dining experiences was great!
